Our line breeding of the dominant cow families creates a genetic package that offers maximum heterosis, performance, high carcass yields and uniformity. Fleckvieh cattle are a very versatile breed; fertility, calving ease, and milking abilities are all strong traits of our fleckvieh herd.

Our Fleckvieh herd is one of the largest within the states. New this year we tested all the bulls for the diluter gene. What this means is that if the bull is diluter free (DLF) you will not get any grey colored calves out of black cows. If the bull tested Diluter carrier (DLC) there is a chance for grey color calves on black cows.

We are a family-owned seedstock and swine operation. In addition to our livestock, we are also row crop farmers. Our father started the farm's first horned Hereford herd in 1936. In the 1960s we added purebred Hampshires, and the 1980s brought Fleckvieh Simmentals.

We maintain a 600-sow operation specializing in replacement boars and gilts for our customers and commercial producers. Our beef herd includes 75 full Fleckvieh cows and a some horned Hereford. We are co-owners of "Diesel," and we are very excited about what this young Hereford bull has to offer.
